Childcare Orientation at Kidscape

Kidscape Family Orientation

What to Expect During Your Child’s Orientation

Starting childcare is an important milestone for both children and families. At Kidscape, our orientation and settling-in process is designed to help your child feel safe, secure and confident as they transition into their new learning environment.

Orientation gives our educators the opportunity to learn about your child’s routines, interests, comfort needs and family preferences. Building this partnership with you helps us provide personalised care and maintain continuity between home and the centre.

Once your enrolment is confirmed, we will invite your family to attend orientation sessions at a time that suits you. These visits are flexible and can be tailored to your child’s needs and your comfort level.

During orientation, your child will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet their educators and begin building relationships

  • Explore the learning environment at their own pace

  • Experience different parts of the daily routine, such as group time, meals and outdoor play

  • Become familiar with the sights, sounds and rhythms of the day

Our goal is to make the transition gentle and positive, allowing your child to settle gradually and confidently.

We understand that starting childcare can be an emotional time for families. Our team is here to support you every step of the way, with open communication, reassurance and a welcoming environment where both children and parents feel comfortable and valued.
